They are responsible for the quantity and quality of the output of others and contribute to the development of technical solutions to non-routine problems.

RII50820 - Diploma of Drilling Oil & Gas (Onshore)

The tasks performed involve a high level of autonomy and require the application of significant judgement in planning and determining the selection of equipment/roles/techniques for themselves and others. They are required to demonstrate the application of a broad range of technical, managerial, coordination and planning skills.

RII60415 - Advanced Diploma of Drilling Management

This qualification reflects the role of managers in drilling who perform tasks that are broad, specialised, complex and technical, and include strategic areas and initiating activities. They are required to demonstrate self-directed application of theoretical and technical knowledge and initiate solutions to technical problems or management requirements.

RIIWHS202E - Enter and work in confined spaces

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces in the resources and infrastructure industries.

It applies to those working in operational roles. They generally work under supervision to undertake a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and procedures and take responsibility for the quality of work outcomes.

The ‘G2’ Risk Management Course covers the skills and knowledge required to Carry out the Risk Management Process in the Coal and Metalliferous mining industries. This competency is a statutory requirement according to mining legislation for certain occupational categories as deemed by the respective Mining Safety & Health Advisory Committees.
